Safe adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The problem: AI can transform how an organisation works, or quietly expose it to risks it never saw coming. Most organisations are somewhere uncomfortable in between: staff already using AI tools unofficially, and no policy, training or safety net in sight.
What I do: I provide executive-level training in the organisational use of AI, and help you develop safe working practices and workable AI policies. Then I train your staff to use AI safely and confidently within the policy your executive has agreed. Strategy at the top, competence on the ground, one joined-up approach. Throughout, I give you straight answers about the security risks and the mitigations available. I've been working hands-on with AI tools since 2023, so this is practical guidance from daily use, not theory from a slide deck.
What you get: Leadership that understands what AI can and can't safely do for you, a policy your organisation can actually live with, and staff trained to work confidently within it.

New database development
The problem: Spreadsheets multiply, off-the-shelf tools almost fit, and the information your organisation runs on ends up scattered across files, inboxes and heads. Sooner or later somebody says: we need a proper system.
What I do: I design and build bespoke databases around your jobs: records, casework, claims, communications and reporting you can trust. Built on SQL Server and Azure SQL, secure in the cloud, and designed with the people who'll use it every day, not just the people who commissioned it.
What you get: One reliable home for your information, processes the system supports instead of fights, and room to grow: a foundation built for your organisation rather than adapted to it.

Database modernisation
The problem: Old systems rarely fail all at once. They just get slower, riskier and more frustrating every year, until the workarounds have workarounds, nobody quite trusts the reports, and the one person who understands it is talking about retirement.
What I do: I take ageing, badly designed or outgrown databases (including case management and legal workflow systems) and rebuild them into modern, secure, cloud-backed tools. Your data comes with you. Your team keeps working throughout. And the new system is designed around your jobs, not the other way round.

A truly paperless organisation
The problem: Filing cabinets, shared drives and inboxes are where documents go to get lost. Most "paperless" projects just move the chaos onto a screen.
What I do: I design secure, database-managed document storage where every document lives in one place, connected to the records it belongs to, findable in seconds, and protected properly. Genuinely paperless, not just scanned. And because your documents and data are finally organised, I can take you a step further: secure AI integration that lets your organisation ask questions of the information it holds. Answers arrive in seconds, from an archive that used to take days to search.

Independent IT reviews
The problem: Choosing a system, a supplier or a support company is expensive to get wrong, and almost everyone offering to help you choose is also selling something.
What I do: I carry out independent IT reviews and help you select the right solutions and providers. No commission, no reseller agreements, no vested interest. If the right answer is "keep what you've got", that's the answer you'll get.
What you get: Impartial advice you can put in front of your board, a clear-eyed view of what you actually need, and a decision you won't regret in eighteen months.

Every engagement, large or small, follows the same pattern: I listen first, I review what you've actually got, and I give you a plain-English proposal with no padding and no jargon.
